Abstract

The association between oral and general diseases was discussed in the article. The negative influence of odontogenic infections and periodontal diseases on the development of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and orher systemic pathologies was highlighted. The need for joint efforts of dentists was substantiated.
