A Historical Perspective of Global Warming and its Influence on Ecosystems

Abstract

Global average surface and lower- troposphere temperatures during the last 30 years have been progressively warmer than all earlier time. This warming has been particularly apparent the mid-and high-latitude regions of the northern and Southern Hemispheres.

This process is due to the intensive emission of greenhouse gases.
