Abstract

The middle corridor, which is an alternative transport route between Europe and Asia, is becoming increasingly relevant in the wake of global logistics shift and political instability in the regions. Georgia's unique geographical location makes it an important transit center. Based on economic analysis, in the event of an effective use of the middle corridor, Georgia can become one of the major transit platforms, which will significantly improve the country's basic economic and financial characteristics, including foreign trade volumes, investments, jobs and national budget revenues. But the problem is that despite the economic and financial advantages of the middle corridor, it is important to focus on such environmental and environmental risks and challenges that can be ignored by the country's strategic development.
The work includes the geostrategic position of Georgia and its role in the context of the development of the Middle Corridor and its purpose is to analyze the influence of the middle corridor on the country's economic and financial capacity, as well as evaluate existing and potential environmental and environmental risks that will be followed by the process of intensive development of the corridor.
The work, along with the positive economic and financial effects of the middle corridor, discusses potential ecological impacts such as reducing biodiversity, decomposition of ecosystems, risk of climate change, land erosion, and air and water pollution, in which the middle corridor project should be carried out with sustainable development approaches and environmental evaluation.
