The influence of global climatic, geodynamic and anthropogenic factors on the transformation of the landscapes of Adjara and its geographical consequences
Main Article Content
Abstract
Both natural and anthropogenic factors influence the transformation of Adjara's landscapes. Among the natural factors influencing the change in Adjara's landscapes, climate change caused by global warming occupies an important place, in particular, the process of gradual increase in average annual temperatures and increase in annual precipitation. The second important factor is the activation of geodynamic processes.
One of the factors in the transformation of Adjara's landscapes are changes caused by anthropogenic impact. As a result of active anthropogenic impact, the landscapes of the Adjara plain, which have optimal soil and climate conditions, have been almost completely changed and have been subjected to strong anthropogenic pressure, as a result of which all existing natural components have been significantly changed. The Colchis forest was almost completely cut down, its remains have been preserved only in the Batumi Botanical Garden.
